Anthony Gilchrist is a corporate Militech employee in Cyberpunk 2077.

Biography[]

In 2077, Anthony started secretly collaborating with the Maelstrom gang, then led by Declan Griffin aka "Brick", acting as their mole. Gilchrist would provide Brick with details about Militech shipments via his contact, Ofelia Sirawian aka "Patricia", and Maelstrom would steal the shipments and give Gilchrist a cut of the profits after selling the goods. This deal ended up crossing a line when Gilchrist leaked the security protocols for an important Militech convoy which contained a Flathead, allowing Maelstrom to capture it.[1]

Meredith Stout, a Militech senior operations manager, traced the leak directly to Gilchrist, but could not conclusively prove malfeasance. Gilchrist also refused to confess his involvement or identify the hijackers, and continued to proclaim his innocence, even after being intensively interrogated by Stout's huscle.

If V meets with Meredith Stout in The Pickup:
Gilchrist is brought to the meeting to verify if he and V were associates, and if the latter was behind the hijacking. Gilchrist and V had never met before, so Stout remains unable to prove he was the mole. However, she learns from V that Maelstrom were the hijackers, and offers to work together so that she could recover the convoy while V could get the Flathead.

If V refuses to take Stout's credit chip or reveals her plan to Maelstrom:
Refusing the chip or telling Maelstrom's current leader, Simon Randall aka "Royce", about Stout's plan will cause the shipment to never be recovered. As a result, Gilchrist was made the new head of the investigation by his and Stout's superiors. He replaced Stout's team with his own people, then had her killed, ensuring his complicity in the hijacking would never be uncovered.

If V has the Nomad lifepath:
Having the Nomad lifepath, V can expose him as the mole by finding his message to Maelstrom on a computer in a sideroom of the first larger hall you enter after leaving the initial negotiation room in the All Foods Plant (only as a Nomad can V comprehend the full meaning of the message). Confronting him with these finding at the end of The Pickup will cause Gilchrist to promise an incentive to keep the information confidential. This will be a crate containing Militech equipment left at V's Apartment in Act 2.

If V accepts Stout's credit chip:
Stout continues observing V as they meet with Maelstrom at the All Foods Plant, and witnesses enough to be convinced of Gilchrist's guilt. She successfully recovers most of the stolen convoy (except for the Flathead), ensuring her position at Militech, and has the traitor Gilchrist killed. His corpse can later be found close to where Meredith Stout and V had their first meeting in Northside at the beginning of The Pickup.

Associated Quests[]

Notes[]

  • There is a recorded audio file found on a laptop aboard the Ebunike, which reveals that Adam Smasher and Maelstrom were holding a woman named Mallory hostage, in order to blackmail Gilchrist into doing their bidding. She is found executed aboard the ship.
